<description>Re: holiday or not. We had originally reserved the pavilion for Memorial weekend 2008, but something else happened so we got the next best thing for 2009. That was all there was at the time, but Thanksgiving is a good time and even swimming weather some years. Others, it is winter and very comfortable.
Memorial Day is not a good weekend because of graduations, etc, which we found out in 2008
4th of July would be good if we had a good place.
Re: City site
It would be fun to go to another city, but it probably would cost a lot of people a lot more money, unless we could get Mo Ranch or the equivalent. 4 siblings live in Rockport and it is a nostalgic site for many cousins. Many families are able to stay with their relatives in Rockport where everybody would have motel and eating expenses elsewhere. My family is very small so it doesn&#039;t matter as much to me, but some people have a lot of married kids and grandkids, so it has to be considered.
re: Pavilion suitability. It is a good central point with swimming and boating availability and could serve as the meeting/talking spot if we all agreed on the timing and organization of it. Real hard to do with 75+ people involved. It would be fun to have a lodge with a lounge and a swimming pool!!! (plus, plenty of restrooms). We are a large group, and growing.
Don&#039;t ya love it?!

<description>I missed this one from Patty:
Although the food was wonderful and delicious lets have the main meal catered next time. Breakfast was a great and the snacks were easy, but dinner took out a lot of visiting time.

<description>I wasn&#039;t sure if anyone had looked into the historic rockport tour, but they have tapes at the rockport fulton chamber of commerce, there are two different ones, a walking tour of downtown rockport or a driving tour
if you want i could check into it, and see about getting it on cd

<description>We can bring drinks of the malty variety and perhaps from the vine, too. I think we&#039;ll pitch in with whatever needs getting when we get there! So, we&#039;re open to suggestions.

<description>Could be vermicelli in the covered skillet but I also see her mixture to thicken something ---could it be roast gravy?
