Reunion Day agenda

Hi all!

Here’s the agenda for the reunion. There may be some minor changes, but if there are, we’ll let you know.

Holler back if you see a problem. (One that has already been dealt with is that we have the pavilion for 12 hours only, additional cost of $30 an hour. Ray and I think that the cousins can come up with the extra sixty to have it from 8:30am to 10:30pm.)

**UPDATE**  I’ve made an executive, oldest cousin decision – the talent show will be held inside the pavilion.

Still trying to figure out how to get everyone signed up/registered here. I’ll be emailing too.

Executive Decision

Anna and I talked this morning and we decided we would have POT LUCK. Entrees will be provided, probably brisket, baked turkey, and ham. We will do more on that decision later. Cobbler, pies, cakes and other goodies will be either purchased or made by the participants to be determined. Maybe some home made ice cream, too. I have volunteered potato salad. Probably will find something besides that I want to bring. We will have beans, should they be baked beans or pintos? AND vermicelli. Who thinks they can do it exactly like GRANDMOTHER’s? Maybe we should have a contest on that one.
If you have something special you want to bring, let us know.
I think this can be a really great gathering. And great Torres eating binge, oops meant to say opportunity! ;D

Aunt Anna is looking into the CD of a Historic Rockport tour.

Please add your ideas of what you’d like to see us do.

And let us know what activities you’d like to be a part of (Uncle Vic, I want you signed up for storytelling! Ditto the Reed guys!!)

Meat for reunion

I’ve asked Mama, and she is going to talk to Anna, and then look in to the different options available on the meat. I told her, and am now letting the rest of you know, that I’d like to see more than just brisket. What about ham, turkey, and chicken?  Around here there are a couple of places that I can take my meat to and have them cook it. I’m sure there are places in the Rockport area that will do the same. Or we can divy it up and cook it ourselves. (Using the local residents available ovens.)
